Materials: DMC pearl cotton thread, size 5 1 ball of 5 colors

size 4 crochet hook

CH 21

Row 1: SC in the 2nd ch from the hook and in ech ch across; ch 1, turn=(20 sc.)

Row2: SC in first sc sc and in ech sc across.

Repeat row 2 for a total of 43 rows.; do not fasten off.

Fold work in half to form a square. Sc evenly around three sides. making 1 sc in each sc or end of row. and i sc in corner; before completeing 4th side, fill square with potpourii and sc closed. Do not fasten off.

edging: Rnd1: (Ch 3, 2dc,ch2,3dc) in first sc, sk 2 sc* in next sc work shell of (# dc,ch2,3dc)-- shell made; sk 2 sc. Rep from * round. Rnd2: Makes shell in shell around. Fasten off. add bow or buttons or a applique to decorate..

Darnitt Doll

Mterials needed: Fabric 12"by 12" any color that you want to use.

PolyfillYarn for hair

Ribbon

Buttons for eyes

felt tip pin for mouth or fabric pint.

Cut out doll in shape of somethin' like a gumby. but with no arms. The doll hs a square type head, a body and Two legs. These are all one piece and cut out 2 of them and sew them together. Make sure legs are long enough for grabbin' ahold of. Leave opening to stuff good with stuffing.

Glue yarn or sew on for hair. Sew on 2 buttons for eyes. And use the felt tip pin or paints to make a mouth. Can also add lace around the neck to fancy it up. Type or print out this poem to attach to it.:"When you want to thro the phone or kick the wall and shout

Here's a lil Darnit Doll you can not do without.

Mini Topiary Tree

Materials needed: Flowers and foliage

Glue

Brushes

Paint

Bottle

gold spray paint

Oasis

10" dowel

2" diameter craft foam ball

tooh picks

green moss

plastic wrap

garden clippers

Pearl headed pins

16" varigated wire edge ribbon.

Procedure: Spray paint bottle. Let dry. plase Oasis into bottle.Paint dowel green or can let it stay natural. Push dowel into ball after puttin glue on the end to hold it. Cover ball with glue using tooth pick. Press moss into glue. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap until dry. Dip end of dowel into glue and place into Oasis in bottle. Glue moss around opening of bottle. Clip flowers from stems, dip into glue and place on the ball. Do until desired look is found. Glue 2 roses into opening of bottle. Dip pins into glue and place into ball randomly. Glue 2 pins around roses in bottle opening. Tie ribbon into bow. Glue bow to ball.

Crochted Dishcloth

Materials needed: Size H hook and 1 ball of cotton worsted weight yarn any color you want.

Row1: Ch 40, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across(39)

Row2-24: ch 2, turn(counts as first DC) DC in next 3 sts,*ch1,skip next st, dc in next 4 sts, repeat from * across(84-dc groups)

Row25: ch1, turn. sc in each dc and ch-1 across. Fasten off.

Butterfly Fridgie

Mterials needed:size G crochet hook

small amount any color yarn....(make it 2 different colors. neat way to use up odds and ends of yarn)

a plastic ring cut off a 6 pack of pop holder

a black pipecleaner

small piece of magnet

Wings:

Row1: With any color yarn work 42 sc in pop ring top, join.

Row2: ch1, 2 sc in each st around, join. End off.

Row3: Attach other color with sl st, ch 1,*sc in next st, ch3,skip next st* repeat around. Finish off.

Assemble: Cut 2 inches off pipecleaner. Pinch together center of wings. Wrap the rest of the pipecleaner around center to form the butterfly's body and devide the wings. Run the 2" piece through the top of body, twist and curl into antennae. Glue magnet to the center back.

Potpourri Bags

What you need:scissors, iron,stapler,glue gun, glue sticks, brown paper lunch bags, potpourri of choice, fabric or paper scraps, heat-n-bond, raffia,

Trim of choices: buttons, paint, markers,lace

Instructions:Following manufactors directions, fuse heat-nbond to back of fabric. Let cool. cut out any pattern of choice.Fuse pattern to brown paper bag. Outline design with paint or trim as desired. Let dry. Fill bag halfway with potpourri. Starting at top of bag fold small accordian pleats until bag is folded down to top of potpourri. Staple in center. Pull out side corners edges up to center and staple. Adjust pleats as needed. Take small amount of raffia and wrap aroune bag, threading through hole in center of pleats. Tie in a bow. Trim tails if needed.
